Shellé E. Riley

Shellé Riley has a long and varied history of legal service. She began her legal career at Kansas Legal Services in Wichita, Kansas, where she provided legal services to clients who were not able to afford traditional legal representation. While at Kansas Legal Services, Shellé developed extensive experience in the divorce arena as well as in matters involving the Social Security Administration. She represented juveniles in detention hearings, and also traveled to various counties in the State of Kansas making presentations to seniors about legal matters pertinent to them.

Shellé continued her Social Security Administration practice in the State of Missouri and acted as Guardian ad Litem for minors in child abuse and neglect, juvenile, adoption and family law cases.

Additionally, Shellé prosecuted cases for the City of Joplin in Joplin, Missouri and for the Newton County Prosecutor’s Office in Neosho, Missouri. While at the Newton County Prosecutor’s Office, Shellé sat on the board that established Child Support Court which provided alternative sentencing options for defendants charged with misdemeanor and felony child support cases.

Prior to coming to Georges & Synowiecki, Shellé spent many years providing legal services for the UNITE HERE! Prepaid Legal Services Benefit Plan representing clients in all phases of parentage, divorce, adoption, guardianship, name change and Social Security matters.
